Review content:
I came in for a checkup about a year ago, because I was feeling really wierd all the time. I knew something was wrong, but did not know what it could be. I hadn't seen a doctor in over 10 years prior, so I don't consider myself a hypochondriac. Went in the first time, had a basic checkup and some tests. They all came back negative for serious illnesses, but I still felt my symptoms.\r
\r
Went in for a followup, and spent only about 10 minutes with the doctor. He basically told me I was fine and it might all be in my head. So I ended up doing some research online and changed my diet around for a year(I think I was getting too much sodium) and now I feel better. But for my 10 minute follow up, they charged me $126.00!!! This could all have been done over the phone, but since I SAW a doctor, they deemed it necessary to charge me over $15.00 a minute. \r
\r
Whats worse, I tried to contest the charges, and they wouldn't return my calls. They just kept sending me bills. Finally after the 3rd call, the bills stopped coming....until almost a year later, right before Christmas. In the end I ended up having to pay every cent to avoid being sent to collections. I am never going through group health again and neither are any of my friends after hearing this story. Seems it doesn't pay to stay healthy anymore.
Pros: Professional
Cons: Ridiculous Billing
