The first time I went to Joann I was 4 months post relaxer and could no longer tame the jungle growing onto my head. I was against going back to any of my previous stylists. One had over processed my hair so bad it was a mushy, spongy mess and I constantly had broken hairs on the bathroom sink. Not to forget the chemical burn I suffered from after I repeatedly told her my scalp was on fire and she ignored me telling me I needed to wait a little longer. The other stylists always insisted on pressing my roots with a hot comb after my relaxer touch up and as a result, my scalp would literally be on fire for 2 days.Not to mention every time I would step into the shop she always had a new price for me to pay depending on how much she had left to pay on her bills. Joann always only charges me one price and I always tip her extra because I appreciate her good service. She is all about healthy hair. If you ask her a question about a product or your next stop in your hair care she will answer you. She will give you her honest opinion on which products work best for what purposes. She does exactly what a stylists should do and she's versatile. I have seen her do color, weaves, locks, the whole nine and I no longer trust anybody else with my hair. I have an appointment with her this coming Saturday and I don't think I'll be able to make it and not only does this sadden me but I'm terrified of having to go to a different salon and allowing them to jack up my hair.This has made me realize how much I appreciate her and thus this review.
