Review content:
If you're into fine wines that cost above $18 a bottle, don't even THINK of shopping in this sad toilet. I'd gone in as a newcomer to LV, looking for the closest I could get to a true FINE wine store like in LA, SF, NYC, DC, etc. What a joke! I found that their entire Bordeaux section consisted of - no exaggeration - only 12 different wines, and most of those were crap under $30. When I asked the clerk if he could recommend the type of wine store I was looking for - if such a thing exists in LV - he churlishly told me that he wouldn't tell me because he didn't want to ""give away business to the competition"". I rather amusedly pointed out that, well, no, they wouldn't really be competing with you. So dumb as to think this is a way to get or keep business, when you're so deliberately unhelpful? Had they shown the slightest interest, I at least might have had a favorable enough impression to buy beer or a cheap bottle of wine there from time to time, but at this rate, this is service and selection that is not even on the same planet as what I'm used to in the big cities. I completely agree that Whole Foods has a better selection, and there's no point coming here instead of just adding some cheap bottle to your basket at Smith's
