For those of you not familiar with Oaxaca and its culture, it is the 2nd most southern state in Mexico bordering Guatemala and the Pacific Ocean. Oaxaca has the best food in Mexico... Period. Everyone knows it. They do things right there. Their specialty is Mole - a chocolate based sauce that has spices, cinnamon, and family secrets... you can put it on anything and it makes it better. I am originally from the Texas/Mexican border, where I was raised on authentic Mexican cuisine throughout my life. I have traveled all over Mexico. I have lived all over the United States. This place has one of the best and most authentic Mole and Oaxacan food I have ever had. I love it so much! Brooklyn needs this place. They represent everything that is wonderful, rich and magical about Mexico. I hope they stay a long time. Cause I need to have my fix at least once a week.
Pros: Amazing, original, authentic and magical cuisine...
Cons: The service is rough around the edges and the place is a little small... but its new york...
