What a gem! I have an undergrad degree w/graduate courses under my belt and experience with multiple colleges and universities. At COD I felt, for the first time, that all the teachers personally cared about my performance. They had great open-door policies with concerned and professional TAs also available to help in labs. I took full course loads with great course choices and times.
This school also has a tremendous program to encourage students in math and science. This specialized program provides labs, special study groups, etc., to lead many first-generation college students on to degrees at higher-level universities and colleges.
If only I had had this kind of program starting college the first time!! Wow! Kudos to COD!
Pros: Tremendous math/science programs; caring teachers
Cons: High demand for classes limited by funding shortfalls
