People have been recomending Tin Angel to me for awhile now and I travel to Nashville quite a bit. Bottom-line the food was very good and at a good value in my opinion. The service was amateurish (sp?) and a bit lazy. The atmosphere was dark and smokey. I had the Trout Almonine and a Sherry Black Bean soup and both were excellent. I ordered the sweet potato (extra sweet with brown sugar and rich with butter) because I wanted to go a bit more healthy, but the butter was heavy and made it creamy and very good. The asparagus that came with it was al-dente' and was hot off the grill. Very tasty. The soup was very good and deep in flavor. I think it was pretty healthy too. Wine list is sparse but not too bad.
Pros: Price, Flavorful Food, Fast Service
Cons: Sloppy Service, Smokey!, Dark & Drab
