I should have taken the hint when the guy who took my delivery order, slurring his words together, quoted a price of $29.95 for a salad. Yes, he was joking but, it was a terrible sign for the rest of my experience.\r \r Firstly, their website misquotes the Salad Della Casa (which was distinctly similar to OLD Trader Joe's salad mix, put into a plastic container with little more) as costing $6.95 but, upon receiving the bill for 2, cost me $17.00 before tax, you do the math.\r \r They delivered the wrong pizza (I ordered a Margherita pizza, got a pepperoni pizza. Even when really drunk, I wouldn't imagine someone confusing the two words but so it was...). Additionally, the calzone we ordered was barely cooked, the cheese inside was hardly beginning to melt. \r \r But to top it all of was the delivery guy, could not pass the bill to me without dropping it three times (another intoxicated employee?) and dropping packets of chili flakes all over my front door and leaving without a word. This, after an 1 hour and 45 minute wait (we live maybe 10 minutes from the place)??? \r \r The food is awful, the service abhorrent...how can the place continue to afford even its rent on pricey Main Street, Santa Monica? This is another example of restaurants surviving off of misinformation and customers? first time ignorance. Please, do yourself a favor, order from ANYWHERE else. Cons: Long delivery time, wrong order, intoxicated employees
