I am thrilled to be done with the experience of attending Kovats Real Estate school. I was enrolled in the shorter program. First, the girls who work the enrollment desk have an attitude that they're more than happy to share with you either over the phone or in person. God forbid if you have a question or need clarification of something, and have to draw them away from their cell phone or online conversations, they act like they're doing you a favor by answering you at all.
As far as the classes went. Each week was taught by a different instructor, whose opinions and interpretations sometimes differed from the instructor's the week before. I know some people in my class were really thrown off by this, and I felt bad that they were unable to make our study group because that's really where I learned and retained everything of value from the class.
You take the school exam next to the little enrollment window. The walls are paper thin and no one (especially not the nasty girls who work there) does anything to lower their voices while they're carrying on a conversation. After all, there's no incentive for them to get you to pass it on the first try... each retake costs $10.
I passed the exam because I studied hard and read outside of class with some classmates, not because the instructors were particularly good or so caring or concerned whether or not anyone passed.
I'm not sure what the evening classes are like, but vouching for the daytime classes, it felt like everyone involved with the school was just phoning it in for a paycheck. $399 is a lot of money to some people. If you're a future student and you'd like to at least have the decency to pretend that they're grateful you're spending your money there, I'd say research and find another school.
