On Dec 5,2010 my apartment flooded due to the apartment above me and the tenant above me call the emergency number and someone came out and shut the water off and had Rainbow Carpet to come in a clean up the water and placed fans in my apartment. This equipment was hooked up on my electric which caused and increase in my electric bill which I had to be responsible for. This equipment stayed in my apartment for 3 days running 24 hours a day. after the equipment was moved out the manager Leigh never came out to look at the damages to my apartment until Dec 29, 2010 and this was after she received an letter stating that I wanted out my lease and that I was taking North Village to court due to me having to live in a mold falling down ceiling apartment. We went to court and all the staff at North Village lied on the witness stand. They all said that they all was out to my apartment the next day during repairs. I have phone message that Leigh left me stating when someone would be out and her saying how sorry she was for me having to deal with such a mess. When I took them to court they tried to charge me for molded windows, door frames and carpet damages, all which was a result to the apartment being flooded and no one bother to come to fix. Please be aware of the manager Leigh if she's still managing these apartment. The manager before her Kathy was a sweetheart and whatever you needed she would make sure you got it. Leigh that trailer park..... is the devil from hell. The tenant above was charged over 2,000 for a bust pipe that Leigh claim she pulled out underneath her sink, which caused serious flooding to my apartment below, and the apartment behind me. Who would pull a pipe out from underneath a sink at 1:00am I would not recommend my enemy to live there under that staff. I hope the complex suffer tremendously due to how they treated us during this situation.
