First of all, I have never written a negative review about any business ever, but as this has to do with the safety of other fellow motorcyclist I felt a duty to post. I agree 100% with user ""You and Me"" below. If you care about your bike and value your safety - I highly recommend staying away from Gene and the work he does on motorcycles at Moto Loco. I've had Moto Loco work on my bike for 3 years now – they continually makes mistakes and glazes over them nonchalantly when you have to bring the bike back to get fixed again. They actually feel hard done by if you don’t thank them for not billing you for fixing the item you already paid them to fix. I put up with this repeated mistake ridden service now for years, which was my mistake. This last time my bike went in to fix an oil leek they claimed to have previously fixed – they actually never found the real source of the leak the first time and tried to say it was a new leak. Btw, my moto is a 2006 Suzuki DR 650, easy bike to work on and overall a fairly bullet proof. I had a real mechanic look at my moto and he confirmed there was always only one place the oil was leaking. THEN on top of this my motorcycle came back with the tools missing, I kindly asked if he could look or ask around the shop to see if the tools were there - Gene immediately became aggressive taking a defensive stance without even saying he would take a look. After all the time and money I’ve spent with these people and after putting up with their mistakes, I found this behavior appalling and unprofessional. So I’m now left without the tools that came with my moto and the final work still to be done. I've been hanging in there with Gene even though all my friends who motorcycle in Santa Barbara stopped taking their motorcycles and scooters to Moto Loco ages ago sighting mistakes and horrible service. I have finally sadly joined their bandwagon, never again will I go to Moto Loco the service is truly horrible, which is scary for a motorcyclist and very unfortunately on top of all of it they are rude.
