Businiess name:  Ken Zaburo Restaurant

Review content:
Honestly, I really don't take any pleasure in writing bad reviews. I'm not the type of person who's out for vengeance - especially in the instance of something like a restaurant. However I cannot pretend that the food at Ken Zaburo was enjoyable in any way. I ordered several things...ranging from their ""crab pots"" to their sunomono salad to their sushi. I tried my best, but I just could finish it. For lack of a better word, it was gross. The crab pots did not have a single piece of crab (or even crab flavor) in them. The cream cheese in them was actually turned - as in curdled. Like they had been made a long, long time ago. The wonton shells were burnt. And the sweet'n'sour sauce was syrupy and tasted like it came from a bottle (not to mention it's neon color). The seaweed in the salad was totally unedible - as in so chewy and dense and hard that I could not physically chew it. I tried for a few bites, but both the flavor and the texture were abhorrent. The sushi was fishy-smelling - as if it were old and not sashimi-grade. In fact just standing in the lobby of the restaurant it smelled gross. When I arrived to pick up my order, even though the dining room was almost empty, I waited more than 20 minutes for my to-go order (although it had been placed 30 minutes before). I love Japanese food - from the affordable and awesome Hana in Capitol Hill to the upscale, more pricey places like Umi, Red Fin, and Izumi. I cannot, in good faith, recommend this restaurant, its food, or the service in any way, shape, or form. Sorry! Save your money!
