TERRIBLE TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE FOR MY FAMILY ON OUR FIRST VISIT. SKIP THE FLUFF REVIEWS, IF YOU LOOK AT GOOGLE MAPS REVIEWS, THERE ARE PLENTY OF MEATY BAD REVIEWS I WISH I READ. It is easy to get people to write three sentence fluff reviews but for this place, you'll find plenty of long ""DON'T EVER GO THERE"" reviews. \r Key issues: 1. SHODDY WORK AND SERVICE: This place is a factory, they move fast, no time to discuss issues, services are pushed at you with no explanation. They filled a small crevice in my tooth that my old dentist has told me about for years but noted that we should just keep an eye on it, that it was 90% okay. These people dug it out, filled in it AND screwed it up. They didn't match the bite, so my molars were killing me for weeks. Pushed the tooth all out of place, food constantly stuck between the teeth because the gap was enlarged, constant pain. No way I was going back to them after reading google maps reviews (wish I did before I went, would never have gone to start with), found another dentist who confirmed they just did a bad job with the fit. I could tell when the Stonehaven dentist did it that she was messing it up. Super fast, like she was on a clock, and although I told her it didn't feel right she did nothing to fix it. \r \r 2. SIGNIFICANT ISSUE WITH OVER-TREATMENT TO MAXIMIZE BILLING: My wife's favorite quote from the dentist ""baby teeth cavities become baby teeth root canals, why would you risk that"" in explaining why they wanted to fill in 12+ cavities in three kids. A scare tactic that works. My kids (and we parents) brush their teeth religiously, have been seeing a fantastic dentist at our previous city every six months for 10 years, and never had more than a cavity or two. This place filled 12+ only six months after a visit to our last dentist.\r \r 3. NOT ONLY OVER-TREATMENT, BUT EXPENSIVE AND WRONG ABOUT WHAT INSURANCE WOULD COVER: All I can say here is that we ended up out of pocket multiples of what we were first told. They do everything the most expensive way possible. I have GREAT insurance and still ended up paying close to $1000 bucks! \r \r 4. TEETH CLEANING WAS A JOKE! So my last dentist had a hygenist that very six months would get in and clean EVERY tooth very carefully with a water pick, floss and a tooth buffer. Would take almost an hour and when I came out, my teeth SQUEAKED clean. This place?! I was waiting for the teeth cleaning part when I realized that the dentist must have ALREADY DONE IT. She sprayed some water on my teeth for about 8 minutes and called that a cleaning?! I thought she was just prepping me for the tooth filling, cause it was so NOT a cleaning. Could tell NO DIFFERENCE afterwards.\r \r My wife and I were separated most of the time we were in the clinic as we accompanied different kids, when we got into the car, we both looked at each other and said ""NEVER AGAIN! That place was horrible!""\r \r Needless to say, I'm still looking for a good dentist in our new area (we just moved here). Stonehaven Dental in Lehi is NOT going to every see my family again! \r \r \r \r \r \r
