My complaint is is specifically towards an incident involving Dr. Gill. I have 0 complaints against Dr. Patterson. \r

My 16 year old daughter panicked when the groomers explained that they found cysts on our pomeranian (Jazzy's) stomach and they suggested she go immediately to the vet to have them checked as they could be cancerous. She drove Jazzy to have her cysts checked out. While she was there--Dr. Gill noticed after taking a minute to review her charts that her shots had not been updated (according to their records). What he didn't realize is that 2 months prior I took advantage of the FREE shots being offered through Ing County Animal Shelter. So, unfortunately, just because he didn't see that we had received shots through their office...he took it upon himself to repeat the shots Jazzy had received just weeks before AND WAS WEARING the tags AROUND HER COLLAR to show it. My daughter wasn't aware that Jazzy had been vaccinated either--she'd been in camp all summer. The bottom line is there was NO intention of taking Jazzy there--other than to have those cysts examined. They turned out to be hormonal cysts-so nothing more was done as far as treatment for the cysts. \r

Later, I received the bill...but when I called to ask him to remove the unnecessary charges he said ""We don't have time to look at 200 tags a day to see if they've been vaccinated"" (yet he ""had the time"" to look at her charts and determine otherwise) and ""the meds are already in the dog..the money comes out of my pocket"" so I can't offer credit or write off those charges. Needless to say, I get to eat the cost at his mistake. If only he had taken a moment to notice the blinding colored updated tags when my 16 year old said ""I don't know if she's up to date on her vaccinations..I just brought her to get her cysts looked at"".
