Every time i go to a Japanese Restaurant which has the Katsu Curry I either have it or feel tempted to do it. I love the Japanese Curry. This place is all about that, a long bar with stools, very modern and clean, and they only do one thing: Japanese Curry. Menu is simple - you pick your curry, pick your additions (prawns, or potato croquettas, or organic hard boiled egg), and voila! They have the pickled peppers and dried onions on the bar, and those are amazing when you sprinkle them on the curry. They have veggie curry, chicken curry, and i think beef and pork but i am not sure. I have to say it is REALLY delicious! It is in the East Village and i sometimes travel there just to grab a bite in this place. Not a dinner place in my view (unless you live nearby and order) so i'd recommend as a lunch place. I met the owner and he told me its part of a chain which has other Japanese joints in the city, and he emailed me these two nice photos which I added to this page...
Pros: Delicious and many options variations
Cons: Great for lunch or takeaway, not a sit down
