Review content:
If you're looking for a place that's warm, inviting, and a little bit old-school (dimmed lights, warm wood paneling, high-backed booths) Kiernan's Steak House is where you want to be. I've been going to Kiernan's for over 30 years - probably 5 - 6 times per year for lunch or dinner - I prefer the ""bar side"" which is the original part of this restaurant - really great now that it's non-smoking. This is dining the way it used to be - great drinks, great steaks, prime rib, seafood - I've never had a bad meal in Kiernan's & I've always found the waitstaff to be attentive. I've gone there with family, friends, and clients - they've all seemed to like it as well, and many have returned on their own after discovering it. Last year, I was in NYC and had dinner at ""The Palm"" - a famous chain of upscale steakhouses - the next week I was back in town & took a client to Kiernan's for dinner...the filet mignon I had at Kiernan's was better than the highly regarded Palm - and much more reasonably priced! If you're looking for a fab new style restaurant with flashy cuisine & halogen lights - that's not Kiernan's...if you're looking for a warm & inviting atmosphere, great food & drinks, well priced for what you get - then try Kiernan's Steak House!
