Review content:
Well, initially my son had needed a stress test for clearance on his paperwork to play football. It was ordered by his PCP because we had stated that he becomes short of breath after over exertion because he is overweight. So I called some local Cardiologists that would accept traditional medicaid and asked upon calling if they would give my son a stress test and be able to sign the needed paperwork so that he could play. Well, I called Dr. Hisse's office and spoke to a young lady who was asking the Doctor if he would do it and he said that he would.
So my Son and I showed up to the Dr.'s office and were met by a slightly rude receptionist who scoffed at me because I am Hispanic and prefer to be spoken to in English. Then when my Son and I called into the examination room, the Dr. treated me and my Son very coldly and acted like he didn't want to serve us in the first place because the receptionist told him that I prefer English and I'm Hispanic. So the Dr. tells me that my Son is getting an EKG instead of a stress test. I said hey, ""Wait a minute, so when is he getting the stress test?"" ""Well, first he needs the ECG, then I will have to schedule him later for an ultrasound to the chest."" I was upset. I had every reason to be. From what I understood that was not how this procedure was supposed to go ( there is a link on stress tests that was supposed to go to web md. describing what happens )and he knew it. I told him that he was just making these extra appointments because he was taking advantage of the Insurance and doing that way to make extra money. He became very upset and told me that he could stop the test and not do anything and not charge my insurance. He was going to keep my paperwork so I knew he was lying. I didn't drive 30 miles out for nothing so I told him to do the test. Well, he only hooked my son and took my son's readings at a normal heart rate and didn't even ask him to exercise. We were there only 30 minutes at best and the real test takes apparently an hour (see link.)
This doctor is taking advantage of the system and is milking it for everything. He was very heartless and could care less about his patients. Please do not waste your time going to visit his practice.
Cons: Waste of Time and Insurance Money
