I have had my hair cut twice by a stylist that USED to work for art of hair. I LOVED it, I loved how my hair would look and the texture and the style that she would cut, however she is now GONE. I decided to stay with art of hair, BIG mistake. I went in for a trim... and to talk about getting my hair dyed. The trim was only and inch and there was nothing special about the cut. We talked about dying my hair and I made an appt for a week later. DON'T STOP reading this is where you will make your decision about the art of hair and IF it will be the right place for you.
I went in a week later and I brought in pictures in which I wanted my color to look like. We talked and the plan was set, she started to dye my hair. I knew something was wrong when she kept my back to the mirror while she was drying my hair. I finally see myself and it is a WRECK. My hair is copper... no lie... ORANGE and copper. Here is the kicker... my bangs and the front top of my hair are the worst copper, orange color ever! My hair was NOT even the same color throughout my head and it was a complete dye job of the SAME color.
The most disappointing part is they, the owner Michelle and the stylist's (yes EVERY ONE of the stylists were aware and making comments) they PROMISED me that after I went home and washed it and then waited for a while it would fade. So disappointing that they would send me away when such an awful job had been done.
I immediately went home washed and washed my hair and it still was horrible. I called and set up a FIX appointment for the next day. After the fix.. errr... I can't even call it a ""fix"" it is not what I wanted, but I truly don't believe they (the stylist... who kept on texting the owner to know what to do with my hair ""fix"" and the owner because she sent me home and ""promised"" my hair would be fine) I truly believe they try, but do YOU REALLY want someone to just WING IT with you hair. NOPE not me... I will NEVER return and I HOPE this review will help you make an informed decision. I PROMISE this actually happened. What a horrible job.
Bottom line.. if you want a ho-hum trim from art of hair, cool. However, NEVER get your hair dyed from them.
