Courtyard is a great place to study or just relax. The courtyard is great, it has a water fountain and fans to keep it cool on hot days. The beignets are unbelieveable, and the Frozen Carmel Mochaccino is a great frozen drink. They have a revolving dessert selection, and everything is good- its hard to find something you wont like. Their house dark roast is a great brewed coffee, and their espresso is sweet so their drinks dont have that bitter starbucks taste. They have a limited sandwich menu, the chicken salad is the best choice, it comes with a bag of chips and a pickle. Inside there is plenty of room to sit, there are also big chairs and couch to hang out on. The back room is a good place to study or have a meeting, and its free to use; you can make reservations if you like. They have free wireless internet access, which is nice since many coffee shops charge for it now. Most weekends there is live entertainment ranging from piano players and jazz to local twenty-something rock type bands getting their start. This is the place the local people go, and its the best in shreveport! Pros: Cheaper than starbucks, better coffee, better environment Cons: hard to see from the road, you might miss it - next door to sams and michaels
