Review content:
After reading the 3 reviews posted, I felt committed to write a review as I've been dining at Tina Louise for many years. First off, I don't know where Lucklin is coming off saying that take out Chinese food is better. The food here is 10 times better then any Chinese food take out place I've tried.... for instance, after I eat Chinese take out I feel full & bloated, whereas at Tina Louise (I'll eat the same amount of food as take out Chinese) I leave feeling satisfied, not bloated. The food is tasty and very well proportioned. Also, the 'loud lady' Lucklin is referring to is Louise, one of the co-owners. If you refer to her as the 'loud lady in the front', obviously you don't know her, and in turn, she probably doesn't know you! Fool. I don't want this review to come off as a bash to Lucklin's comments but in a way I do, because the food is great, as well as the service. Tina Louise is great for a romantic date... bring a bottle of your favorite wine, order tasty apps (I recommend the spicy wontons and scallion pie), an entree, and dessert, and your bill will be no more then $60-70 (for 2 ppl). Try finding a great Chinese restaurant around the area or in NYC for that price... chances are you won't. Be sure to make reservations and be prompt because they won't save the table. PS ? try Tina Louise?s brother & sister restaurants: Village Gourmet, Mignon Steakhouse, both in Rutherford, and Tao?s in East Rutherford.
Pros: Great food & service
Cons: Tight seating
