Review content:
First of all I want to say that in my experience with BlueLine the sales people were always honest with me, and there Project Manager that was assigned to me was very attentive to my needs. We did two separate projects with them and the first project was done on time and budget.
However, the second project was a complete nightmare. First of all, I figured out that most of their development team is from overseas, and they put their salesperson and PM in very awkward situations. I actually had both their PM and sales director argue on my behalf to try and resolve the issues-which really stem from this companies owners and development team. Here are some of the issues I encoutered.
1. I had to constantly spend time repeating what I needed done. In fact, PM and sales also got involved and wrote up very extensive documents just to make sure there was an understanding. Didn't get me any closer.
2. The always ask for payments before the agreed upon milestones. I felt sorry for the PM who I knew was being pressured to collect money from me. They expect clients to honor their agreements but they somehow fail to live up to theirs.
3. The would nickel and dime for for every little thing. I understand scope changes but the first project I did with them it wasn't as big of a deal...the second one was every single minute thing.
4. Like another comment on here. They do not test. I understand I needed to test as well but they would say an issue was fixed and then it wasn't.
I was finally able to get the project completed only after my sales person got involved and made a case for my concerns. However, it was like pulling teeth to get owners to move or approve of anything.
