Review content:
Updated from March 2011:\r
**To the person below who complained ""You pay the same no matter if the dog is there for one hour or 12"" this is simply untrue and you are incorrect. There are reasonable hourly, half day, and full day rates, as well as discounted packaged for miltiple days and/or dogs. Additionally, you said you thought your dog was only taken out once, but the dogs are taken outside to relieve themselves and offered water multiple times per day, especially younger and older dogs. This is, in part, how our puppies were housebroken.\r
**To the person who said Janice ""proceeds to tell me to lock my dog (which she seemed afraid of) in the car in the sun in 95 degree weather!"" I cannot believe this at all, as Janice has openely spoken about how dangerous it is to leave a dog in a car on even mildly warm says. Additionally, as many dogs come to daycare to socialize, having more than one dog in the lobby at a time occours quite regularly, unless my eyes deceive me. I therefore believe I must interperet your review as an exaggerated rant.\r
On to my actual review: \r
We have a 4-year-old Great Dane who has been going to Fido's for 4 years now, and we love Fidos. Janice and staff are wonderful at letting our rambunctious gentle giant have fun playing, but they are also incredibly in-tune to disciplining her when she gets too wild or rough with other dogs. Janice is really easy to contact and is good about giving us the daily lowdown on our dog's behavior. She is knowledgeable and loves dogs, but isn't afraid to lay down the law. We were amazed at how she tranformed our Dane puppy into a well-behaved and socialized dog. We trust her skill so much that we brought our new Havanese puppy there, wo is now also a big fan of Fido's. Fido's is the perfect match for us because it is not crate based and it is run by someone who knows her stuff (versus highschool kids like some other daycare centers), so grab your pooch and go to Fido's!
