I found Piel on citysearch a little over a year ago, after having numerous NEGATIVE waxing experiences at various spa/salons around the area. Thank goodness I gave Piel a chance! The place itself is seriously like a little utopia. You walk in and are completely consumed by tranquility and relaxation. Aromatherapy wafts through the air, the melodic sounds of a bubbling brook paired with the relaxing yoga-esque music put you in a sort of trance. Upon arrival you are offered tea or water infused with mint and citrus (delicious!) and then you're quickly ushered into a private room to get all your services taken care of. The waxing is amazing -- you are made to feel so comfortable and at ease, and it's truly the least-painful waxing I have ever experienced, I will never go anywhere else. In addition to everything else they have a vast array of skin products (I recommend biomedics) and a very knowledgeable staff! I Highly Recommend Piel, I've already referred all my roommates there, and I recommend it for anyone looking for a Pleasant waxing experience! (I also hear the facials are out of this world).
Pros: Painless waxing, relaxing atmosphere, friendly - knowledgable staff, free parking across the street!
Cons: Can get a little pricey -- but no more than anywhere else & it's totally worth it for what you get!
