Businiess name:  Extreme Turbo Shop

Review content:
\r After I went home I started researching for vendors and shops in the area and I only found a shop called extreme turbo shop, located in Lakeland FL, about an hour drive. People, this was the worst turbo shop I have ever dealt with, if you dislike empty promises, by all means hire his service; this guy was completely un-professional, did not return phone calls, could not give a straight answer.\r \r Basically what happened is that I drove my broken turbo for him to get a basic rebuild, not really a science for a turbo shop, well it takes him two days that hew could not rebuild my turbo because it was too worn out, when I ask for ""what part is too worn out he point out the bearings and pretty much the replaceable parts of a basic rebuild. At that point I was on the ""OK cool"" attitude, so I told him ""I'll buy you a new one just give me a quote and a time in completion"". He said I’ll call you back. He never called me back, I had to call him two days later to find out what is going on, when I talked to him all he could say is that he wasn't sure if he could build one to the specs I wanted, which is nothing complicated (T3 T4E 60-1 stage 3 turbine). After that conversation he tells me to call him next day, so next day, Friday I give him a call. All I get is an automated message that he was going to be closed from Friday to Monday. GOD DAMIT! I was pissed at that moment; the guy was blowing me off. \r \r That same day I learned of a shop in Miami called MIC turbo . This is owned by a Cuban family, they were very professional, I was able to communicate with them with no issue, and they were able to help me on what I needed. First I asked for a quote on a turbo, the specs I previously mentioned but without a turbine housing. They quoted me $500, a very reasonable price. So I left it at that. \r \r On Monday I called MIC and gave them a go on the build. They explained that it will take them a few days but it will be in my hands NLT Friday. \r \r On Tuesday after my jets cooled off I went to Lakeland to get my broken turbo, since I was there I decide to ask him what type of wheel my turbine is, and he hesitated in giving me answer and said ""I think is a stage 2, a stage 3 looks more like this"" and showed me something on the bench that looked exactly like mine, so I proceeded to ask for a caliper so I can take measurements, he gave me the answer ""I don't have one"", I’m like, ""OK, what about a micrometer?"". He didn't have one either. Hmmm this is too shady. So I took my parts, and went to my work place so I could use my precision tools at my machine shop and proceeded to inspect everything. My turbine wheel dimensions match a garret stage 3 so there I discovered the first lie. I proceeded to inspect the turbine shaft and the cartridge. Everything was within tolerance except for the parts that are required to change on a rebuild, second lie there. At this point all I want is to get on the phone and insult the guy in Lakeland, but that will solve nothing. So on Tuesday I decided to call another two different turbo shops and explain them my experience. One of them told me that it all sounded to shady form that Extreme turbo shop, and the other one said that he is full of shit. Guys don't ever deal with extreme turbo shop; I highly recommend not relaying on him. \r Pros: It's local within the area Cons: Does not return phone calls, fails to give quotes.
