Sam Edwards and his wife, Jean, of A Better Way to Fly made my first hot air balloon ride everything I'd been dreaming of for at least 30 years. My husband and I went on my birthday (happily the weather was perfect that day) and, honestly, it was my best birthday ever (and I've had a lot of them). Their price was the best available and it was just the two of us with Sam. The ride lasted a little over an hour. The takeoff and landing were smooth and easy and we felt completely safe with Sam in control. We got to fly high and low, fast (well, not real fast) and slow. Afterwards they served up a really nice brunch with champagne and a cheese, sausage, and fruit plate. Oh, and Jean took great photos that she emailed me. I love Texas Twist (the name of their balloon, I think)!
