Review content:
I have always received complements about my smile. I was blessed with straight white teeth and I never needed to wear braces. Growing up, I went to the dentist for regular cleanings and examinations. During my college years, I became lax about my dental care and, as a result, developed decay in many of my teeth. After finishing college, I knew that I needed to find a dentist that would help to restore my teeth to a healthy state. Unfortunately, I was naïve, and had no idea that there is a difference in the dentist’s artistic skill and knowledge. \r
I assumed that there are little differences in the quality of care.\r
One of my top, front teeth had developed an infection near the root. I needed to have a root canal and a crown. I was unfamiliar with the process and I trusted that the dentist would make sure that the crown looked like my natural tooth. I was totally wrong. The crown that was made for me was very ugly, you could see a black metal line between the gum and the crown. There was pain and sensitivity in the surrounding gum tissue. At first I tried to forget about how unattractive the crown was but I couldn’t. There were several times when friends would tell me that there was food caught between my teeth, not knowing that it was the result of poor dental work. I tried to hide it by smiling with my mouth closed and covering my mouth with my hands when I spoke one on one with someone new. \r
\r
I went to see Dr. Weinstock after he was recommended by several people. Before I made the appointment, I did some research and was very impressed with Dr. Weinstock’s background. Dr. Weinstock has been in practice for 20years. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Weinstock was asked to teach dentistry at Penn, and has done that for the past 20 years. Despite all of the positive information I found about Dr. Weinstock, I was apprehensive about going to see another dentist.\r
\r
Those fears were completely put aside from the moment I walked into Dr. Weinstock’s office. The entire staff was friendly and treated me with kindness. When I met with Dr. Weinstock he was not shocked at all by my experience. Dr. Weinstock told me that he regularly sees patients who need to have poor dental work corrected. I really felt like I was being listened to and that Dr. Weinstock really cared. There was no question in my mind when I saw the before and after pictures of other patients who came here to be treated by Dr. Weinstock. I felt I could trust my smile with Dr. Weinstock and his staff. \r
\r
I was not disappointed. Within a week my gums had heeled. They were no longer sensitive and painful. Instead, I had a truly natural looking crown that matched my other teeth perfectly. I felt like I could smile confidently again without embarrassment and self consciousness. I would recommend Dr. Weinstock to anyone that wants to have healthy, natural looking teeth and a beautiful smile. \r
