Review content:
This is the most unethical company I have ever dealt with. I had a small, $52, \r anesthesiologist bill that was sent to them to collect on. I called the Dr. office\r to pay the bill and the lady in the office told me that the bill was sent to Lafayette\r Bureau of Credit and I would need to contact them directly. She gave me the phone number, so I called.\r The company had not yet received the bill and told me to wait until I received something in the mail from them. I waited and never heard back. About 2 months later, I contacted them again to pay, and found out that they had reported this information negatively on my credit report. I let several people with Lafayette Bureau of Credit know that I had never received notice of payment, and that I was happy to pay, I had just one request - that they fix their incorrectly reported information on my credit report. Not only did each person I spoke with decline to do so, I was hung up on, told too bad, one lady even stated I was wasting her time and hung up. When I asked for them to provide me with information showing that they now owned the debt, so I could ensure I was paying the right people, a woman told me that was not her proplem and that she would not provide anything to me. \r \r This company does not abide by the law in their credit reporting nor do they abide by the law in their collection efforts.\r Cons: This company does not abide by the law in their credit reporting nor do they abide by the law in their collection efforts.
