To those interested in having an event or a wedding reception at 2000 Grand (The Cashew) please think twice! My Husband and I loved the Cashew. We loved the space, the view, the food was awesome, and they were flexible dealing with us all the way up to the wedding. It seemed to be the perfect spot to have an all inclusive downtown reception with an urban feel that had competing prices to other similar spaces. The problems we had occurred more after the wedding and with management. During the event it was HOT! They say the air conditioner was working which if this was true it was completely inadequate. With all the people in the space and all the windows it was burning up! All my guest on one side of the room were sweating and several of our older family members ended up having to leave early due to the heat. They did try to correct the situation by putting out large industrial fans that helped the heat but completely took away from the d
