Review content:
I am an independent Network Engineer and was recruited for a project by Spencer Technologies in July 2011, to assist on a system upgrade at one of their remote clients (AutoZone). I was contacted by one of their representatives on July 4th 2011 with a project scope, and was to begin work the next day. After acquiring the necessary materials from my vendor, I went on-site to begin this project. Once on site, I contacted one of their project managers (Sandy Gieser) and was told that more parts were needed and that they will simply overnight the extra materials to the store and that once the parts arrive, they will contact me to complete the project. Multiple attempts to try and contact ANYONE from Spencer Technologies for over a week were unsuccessful. I then used a separate landline to call in, and my call was immediately answered, but then I was given the old run around routine. After a week went by and several more attempts were made on my end to try and contact Spencer Technologies to try and find out if there was an issue delaying the start date, I finally was able to reach the Project Manager. She stated that she contacted another internal representative to do the project (the same day I was onsite at the job location) and that they no longer needed my services. I then explained to her that I was under contract with Spencer to do this project and that I have lost some other opportunities in the days after the original start date, due to my belief that I was still waiting to hear back from Spencer Technology on this project. I was again given a whole new run around and when I was finally was able to reach an actual company manager, he relayed to me that the Project Manager I was in contact with this whole time had told him that I never came to the job location?, did not have any work materials?, and totally changed the context of our initial and follow up calls. For the sake of time, I will limit the in-depth details, but the bottom line is that the way this company treated me and my company was HORRIBLE and was beyond shady. I can all but guarantee that this is not an isolated incident, and that they more than likely treat clients and other contractors in a similar manor. Finally, as a Network Engineering contractor, with over 10 years
