Review content:
My family and I first visited Angelo's in the spring of 2009. My wife had a sandwich (a cheesesteak, IIRC), and I had the baked spaghetti with meat sauce. My wife's meal was quite good, but the spaghetti was disappointing. The sauce was very thin, very sweet, and the meat reminded me of hot dog chili. If Chef Boyardee made baked spaghetti, it would be just like this.\r

Over the past year, we ordered takeout a few times and dined in once. We stuck with sandwiches and pizza and were generally satisfied. Sandwiches were consistently good, and the pizza was fine (not great, but not disappointing).\r

Last night, we ate at Angelo's for the last time. For starters, we were treated to an unidentified substance on some of the napkins and one set of silverware that the hostess provided; it looked like someone had dripped an oreo-cookie milkshake over things and left it to dry. We then noticed that the entire tabletop was sticky, as if the finish was coming up. Whatever it was, it wouldn't wipe off. The experience only went downhill when the food arrived. The NY-style pizza was unbelievably salty. This cannot be overstated. It was easily the saltiest ""Italian"" food I've ever tasted, and it probably topped many fast food chains' french fries in sodium content. To round things out, our server was intermittently available at best. She tried, but she was clearly flustered even though she seemed to have only a few tables.\r

We're done with Angelo's. In the future, we'll stick with A N.Y. Slice for great cheesesteaks and pizza, and we'll head to A Taste of Italy for the experience that Angelo's tries -- and fails -- to provide.
Pros: Decent sandwiches
Cons: Bad pasta, salty pizza, inconsistent service & cleanliness
