Review content:
There are not many smiliar restaurants located near Salsalito and that is probably why so many people go there to eat when they are craving mexican food! For those that do not like the ""tomato paste"" salsa, be brave and try one of the many other salsas such as green, roasted, or warm- they are less ""pureed."" And for those of you that are judging the food off of the enchiladas.. remember that they are simply beed or chz rolled up in a tortilla with meat sauce. nothing too special about that. why not try something more original like the house specialty- fajitas, or maybe one the huge chimichangas! When it comes to margaritas, you are getting what you pay for. $5 might get you a cheap house margarita made with cheap cordoniz tequila but spring for a top shelf for the extra 2 dollars! let's not be too critical of Salsalito. It is my favorite restaurant.. I go there regularly and the staff even knows my name and treats me like a friend. I suggest the pollo cilantro or the salsalito camerones (bacon wrapped shrimp) And if these bad reviews are scaring you away from this place, try it for yourself. I'm pretty sure 98% of the customers are return customers, Also, you can get anything from the menu togo including the monday night fajita special!
Pros: great food and happy house specials
Cons: can't make reservations on busy nights
