Do not ever go to San Mateo! First of all the first impression my husband and I had of San Mateo was terrible. The inside of our bathroom sink was painted in and their was paint drippings all over the floor when we moved in. We had a problem with our light fixture in the kitchen and once we let them know about it, it took them forever to begin fixing it and even longer to fix it. To top it off I left my lap top sitting in the living room and one of the maintenance men was on it looking at porn. ON MY COMPUTER. They are so lucky I didn't get a virus on it. Also, when they do fix something wrong with the apartment they do the job half ass. All they pretty much do is paint over the problem or do it in the least costly way... which involves a terrible job. To top it off the managers are terrible. They are very rude. They might be nice to you at first but do not be fooled. There are so many better places to go in El Paso. There aren't many but don't ever go to San Mateo unless you absolutely have to because you can't find anything else. I was there for only 6 months and I hated it.
