So, if all you want to do is work out, swim, or take a class, this is your place. If you are looking for the 'meat market' club, and need flex your muscles or be on parade...keep looking! Lakeshore is a great and safe feeling family club. Yes, the decor is a little dated (a few posters showing fine athletes from the 80's), but the owners do a fantastic job of keeping the equipment current, offering a ton of classes, and bringing in good instructors for clinics. We are in the middle, but there's tons for the little ones, the middle kids, and seniors. I love how friendly the staff is when we come in...it's all very low key and not a bit pretentious or intimidating.
Pros: nice neighborhood club
Cons: no spinning classes
