I could't efford to be a member any longer, so I chose not to renew my membership. Well in the contract it auto renews, I suppose thats why Im not a laywer. To make a long story they sent me to collections for 516 dollars... Five months of membership dues that I didn't use. I suppose its like the ""family"" they are nice to you until you want to leave. Then they make it difficult. If you have a complaint talk to member services, thats Monday through Friday 8am-noon. That makes it real easy! To drop your membership you have to go there in person. You don't need to talk to member services I found out, you can tell anyone at the desk. A week latter a collection agent will call you. I can almost swear that I said I was dropping my membership the last day I was there, but that was six months ago now. That is my experience with Lake Shore Athletic Club. I hope yours is a better one.\r
Pros: Close to my residence
Cons: They have a horrible policy about dropping your membership!
