My husband and I recently had a latch break on our old truck. Naturally, we didn't want to spend a ton of money on a brand new latch knowing how old the truck is. So we saw Epperson's Used Auto Parts Inc in the phone book and called them up. They said they had the part to sell to us and we said we would be there before they closed. We drove quite a long way to get there, spending time and money to travel to the business. When we got there, an employee went to look for the part. He came back and told his boss they had one, but only one left (so the truck he would have taked it from only had one good door.) The man said that he would not sell it to us because he only had one left. He obviously wanted to be able to sell the entire door as a whole rather than just the latch. So he was worried more about the amount of money he was going to get rather than the safety of a potential customer. (It is a safety issue when the latch is broken on a driver-side door of your vehicle.) Not to mention that it was terrible customer service because he actually refused service after telling us he had the part for us to purchase! We will certainly never return to this business, it is up to you whether you patronize or not, but we suggest NOT.
