Review content:
I bought my 1988 Volvo 240 wagon new and had it serviced by the dealership every 5000 miles until February of 2008, when I started taking it to Knox Motor Sports on Ledbetter Road in Ashland. Since that time, my car has handled at top performance and has never broken down. The technicians there spot a problem before it happens and advise me of the issue. \r One main inconvenience I have always had with the car is the fact that it did not cool very well on the hottest days; Knox Motor Sports installed an AC helper fan, and the car is now like a refrigerator---even on the 100 degree plus days in Richmond, VA. \r I have always felt safe in my Volvo, which is one reason I have not traded it, but with the additions from Knox Motor Sports I now have total control of every move. They installed Bilstein HD shocks and struts, IPD 25 mm sway bars and upper and lower chassis braces which make my car feel like it is riding on rails, or you might say “hug the road”. In addition to this, I also had them install fully refurbished Virgo alloy wheels with Good Year Eagle GT tires. Not only is my car handling better, it is a pleasure to drive. Another problem was that the Timing Belt was constantly being adjusted---they installed their very own Kevlar Timing Belt, and I have had no problems since. \r In addition to all of this, the car is also an eye catcher, and people are constantly asking me about my Volvo. Since my car has over 334,000 miles on it, I now feel safer taking it in every 3000 miles for a check-up and oil change. \r I have never liked my husband’s Suburban and always felt like I was in a bumpy, swaying vehicle. After taking it to Knox Motor Sports and having HD shocks and General Grabber HTS tires put on it, the ride is now quite comfortable, and it hugs the road. We also have Knox Motor Sports check the Suburban every 5000 miles for general maintenance and an oil change.\r Without reservation I can recommend Knox Motor Sports to everyone for problems--great, small, or not at all. The service is fantastic, the staff professional. They provide a warm, friendly atmosphere and treat me as if I am the most important customer of the day. VERY PROFESSIONAL---Thank you, Ann Mathews\r \r
