I am in the restaurant business for 25 years. It pains me to write a bad review about a restaurant. However, It is absolutely unforgivable to have a waiter be so rude and inattentive to a table and then add an 18 % gratuity to the check. Being in the business, i knew that the guest check would include the waiter's name so I will say to Santosh, the waiter. you should not be in the hospitality business. You should be in a business that does not require you to interact with other people.
To the owners of Mantra. You have a server that has just caused you to lose a good potential customer that loves Indian food that will never come back after having such horrible experience. your food is pretty good and most of your other servers were quite attentive to their tables. You really need to lose this guy and that is the only tip that I should have had to give tonight !!
