I brought my electrolux upright and bissel steam cleaner in for service and repair. The owner was very nice and knowledgeable and honest. When I went to pick them up I did not see the owner, but rather his employee, Mr. Hindu. So I explained that I was looking for a vacuum for wood floors and that I have 5 dogs. I was told that I would need to spend $600! I explained that I felt that the broom was not doing such a hot job and wanted something simple to pick up pet hair and a little dirt before I mopped my floors. I was then shown a $400 model! I was sooo shocked by this, there were other floor models very simple and a little cheaper. Then we discussed what was done to my vacuums. keep in mind I have 5 dogs and am full aware that my vacuums have to go in every so often because of that. I was then told by friendly mr. Hindu that my electrolux upright was not the right vacuum for the job. I told him that I purchased it at P.C. richards and they said it would do the job on carpeting. he then told me that He is doing this for 30 years and the salesmen at pc richards don't know anything about vacuums and would tell me anything to get me to buy something. Ok a little true, but the way he said it made me feel stupid. Like he was condisending. So anyway he showed me another $600 model. I was like no, I need an upright because of elderly and young people in my home and it was much easeir than having something dragging around. I was told that none of the uprights would give me proper suction. Again the way he came across was like I was dumb or something. So finally I purchased an upright for $100 to get up light stuff on my wood floors instead of sweeping stuff around which is annoying me. He told me that I probably won't be happy with it and I would ahve to spend $$ to get the job done right. Then as we further discussed what was wrong and done to my vacuum and steam cleaner he made rude comments about how much dog stuff was in them. Well duh, I have 5 dogs and thats why I took both machines to them! Every so often I need a professional to clean them out and do a thorough once over so I don't blow a motor or something. I didn't like the comments he made nor how he made me feel. The owner was not at the store at the time. I spent $100 although I didn't want to and may bring it back. It fell apart in my car! I feel sorry for the owner, when his back is turned his employee is belitting his customers, making rude comments about other retailers and pushing more expensive models. This is a small store and I like local businesses, but this guy won't stay in business for long with this yahoo working for him. I won't go back there again. I don't need mr. hindu talking about me or my dogs or the condition of my vacuums.
