Dress your best and prepare to dance all night. Carib New York attracts Black professionals from the tri-state area, and with good cause. You'll hear familiar urban, dance, rap, reggae, calypso, and the occaisional slow jam. There are always several dance partners and an eclectic vibe going on. You'll see a variety of folks here, which is both a nice switch and a beautiful sight. Whether you're partial to designer suits, locks, divas, spandex, or a combination of these, they're probably here. Come early to avoid that line...allow the drinks and cute bartenders to distract you. By midnight, it becomes a sardine can, but a quick escape to the balcony level is a good place to catch your breath and meet yet another cutie! The only catch here is the bright lights which tend to taint the reggae a bit, but hey, at least you'll know who you're dealing with! Pros: music, crowd, drinks Cons: Too bright!, pricey for upstate
