Review content:
We've been taking our pets (cats and dogs) to CVC for almost 10 years, and couldn't be more satisfied. We've tried a few other vets and found them more expensive and less interested in our needs. The doctors explain everything fully, (several times, if need be), and offer conservative and/or aggressive treatment options.
An especially beloved cat became very ill and had to be hospitalized twice. Both times the doctors and hospital staff were exceptional. The first time he had to stay, one of the vet techs told us he wouldn't eat until she scratched his butt--talk about individual attention!! :-) The second time, about a year later, he be got really ill late on Friday afternoon, and the doctor and a tech stayed after closing for us to bring him in. He passed away over the weekend, which was awful, but not unexpected, due to the severity of his illness. We weren't able to bury him right away, and the clinic very graciously kept him for about 2 weeks (frozen). When I brought him home and unwrapped him I didn't know what to expect, but he had been positioned so that he looked just like he was curled up sleeping. I know it may sound weird, but I was so grateful to be able to see him one last time to say goodbye, and lay him to rest under his favorite window. Remembering still brings tears to my eyes.
When it became necessary to put down elderly pets, we were given the choice of whether to be present, and allowed all the time we needed, during and after, to say goodbye.
Obviously, our pets are very dear to us. I wouldn't take them anywhere else for care, and highly recommend Conroe Veterinary Clinic.
