This review is for the new store at Patterson and Wilmington in Dayton, Ohio. So I took my dog in for a grooming and when I got her home her eyes were swollen, weepy, and she was squinting and scratching at them. I took her to OSU veterinary hospital and they said she had bilateral corneal ulcers caused by most likely the shampoo. They put her on numerous meds and I had to follow up with my vet in a week. At my vet a week later, they were still not healed and he put her on an additional med. A week later her eyes were not improved and I took her back to OSU where they debrided her corneas to get the dead tissue off in the hopes that her eyes would start the healing process. After the intial follow up with her local vet, I contacted the store manager who had another manager call me up and I explained the issues and told him I wanted to be reimbursed for her medical bills. He pretty much blew me off and said ""I don't think we're going to do that"". He did however offer me some discounts which I turned down. As if I would ever go back to any Superpetz. He didn't seem to comprehend that while my dog has chronic eye issues, ie back in 2005 she had bilateral cataracts which we had removed and she also had artificial lens placed at that time, it has nothing to do with corneal ulcerations. She has glaucoma in one eye which has been successfully controlled with eye drops. However, the point here is that the artificial lens and the glaucoma are ""intraocular"". There is no connectiion between her chronic condition and an acute ""extraocular"" injury, ie corneal ulcerations. This was an acute injury to her eyes. Her medical bills are at about $700.00 at this point and we're not finished yet. I never ever had any idea anything like this could happen. Think twice about bringing your beloved pet to this place cause you never know what could happen. Superpetz has shown me they have no integrity and they just really don't give a crap about other people's pets.
