Businiess name:  Kam Meng Seafood Restaurant

Review content:
We have been going to Kam Meng for years, every time we are anywhere near Newport, in fact. We have friends, fellow foodies, who make trips to Newport just to eat at this unassuming Chinese restaurant. \r \r It seems like the majority of diners here order your standard Americanized Chinese combos--sweet and sour pork with fried rice and chow mein, etc. I'm sure Kam Meng does a fine job with these, but have never bother to try them, personally, because the real point here is the seafood. You can order a whole crab cooked eight different ways, including salt and pepper; chili sauce; black bean sauce; and ginger and green onions (my personal favorite). Whatever way you order your crab, it is incredibly messy, and finger licking delicious. I also love their green bean and shrimp dish, and all of their salt and pepper seafood dishes are outstanding. Their black bean sauce is excellent, and a wonderful accompaniement to the fresh seafood on offer here.\r \r The owners are always friendly and welcoming and the service is efficient. We miss their old location on the Newport bayfront--the new location along the highway lacks any kind of romance--but in general, we cannot recommend Kam Meng highly enough. Pros: seafood dishes!!! Cons: not at old location on bayfront
