Review content:
This little unpretentious winery was our favorite . Do yourself a favor and skip the big names. The smaller places in napa make some spectacular wines. And forget what this or that idiot thinks about a particular wine - go with what you like. We know precious little about wines. But we were not afraid to ask even the dumbest question. We came back much better informed and hooked. We bought theier Chardonnay, Cab, and Merlot. We actually liked their house merlot better than the reserves. The tasting was free and the person was more than willing to let us try as many of their reserves as we liked. I think the smaller wineries are the way to go - find your own favorite. Stop by Rombauer and you wont be disappointed. The tours and tastings are by appointment only so - call early. Pros: wine, wine, wine Cons: tours limited
