I've been to many dentists, some good, some not. This one scares me. He is either really good or really bad. I came in, and he looked in my mouth for only a few seconds and said I needed several cavities filled and some fillings replaced. Then he looked at my xrays and said I didn't have any cavities. I was told I need a ""deep cleaning"" which costs $200+ and isn't covered by insurance. I asked for a normal one and was told they can't do it because the dentist doesn't recommend it. He didn't do any measurements and determined I needed one by inspection (as far as I can tell).\r \r I'm much more used to a dentist who sits with you for a few minutes poking around on the tooth, using the little metal scraper to check if the tooth has a cavity (and I've had lots of cavities). So I can't tell if this dentist is so good that he doesn't need to do that, or if he is so bad he doesn't check at all. I'm very reluctant to go back. Pros: Good location Cons: Questionable expertise
