Review content:
I visited the Purple Awning for the first time today after my tax preparer recommended it. I must say I was very impressed! I met the owner/operator/baker Judy and we had a really nice personable chat. She told me everything they serve is made from scratch, something that is getting very rare these days as most bakery's use boxed mixes and canned frostings. My mom and I both bought a loaf of soda bread with fruit. It is and does taste deliscious and home made yet has a very professional appearance. Reminded me of the breads and pastry's we got from my grandmother in Kearny NJ when I was little. Kearny was a Scotch/Irish enclave outside of Newark. The Purple Awning is immaculately clean and looking throught the window into the kitchen you can see all up to date equipment including a huge double door oven. I was impressed enough to go on here and leave a review.
