Let me tell everyone a story. My wife and I both went the Charlotte Eye Ear Nose and Throat. I have been a patient of theirs for well over 20 years. I was told prior to going that my insurance (VSP) was accepted for my eye exam. My wife had been going to them for her eyes (both medical and vision) for the last 3 years. I had been paying for her contacts which are not a normal brand so I thought the cost was just additional above what insurance was paying and accepted it as such ($200 each year). After my first visit (same time as my wife's appointment) I paid $230 at then end without really being told what everything was, but assumed it was the contacts and my co-pay. On June 1 I received a bill for around $80, then on June 21 received another bill for around $140. When I went to pick up my wife's special order contacts in the end of June I asked the lady at the desk what the bill was about, she called their ""billing"" department, after speaking a while with the lady on the phone she proceeded to tell me it was a medical coding issue, the $80 some dollar bill was to be disregarded, the $140 bill was what the insurance didn't cover and that they would resubmit to insurance recoded and that she would call me back. I never received another statement nor a phone call until last week when I got called from a collection agency. I explained the situation to the lady at the collection, and then called CEENTA's ""billing"" department again and was answered by another lady who also told me she would have to look into it and call me back. This was last Wed/Thur. Today is Tuesday and I recieved another call from the collection agency, so I yet again called their ""billing"" department. The lady was very nice and said she would call the office manager, after being hold for about 20 minutes I was told that the office manager would not do anything other than offer %20 for their mistake. \r \r I WILL NEVER USE THESE CROOKS AGAIN!!!!! They are willing to loose a 20 year patient over $140... that goes to tell you the are ALL ABOUT THE MONEY and dont give a crap about a long term patient. \r \r I will be taking this to small claims court!
