Review content:
My family and I live in Shreveport, La, and Jackson, Ms. We thought that it would be fun to get away for a weekend and go to Six Flags in Arlington with my nieces and mother. The ride started off great singing songs in the car and playing car games. After about 2 hours we are cramped and want OUT!!! We decided we were hungry and wanted to stretch for a bit but could not decide were to eat. That is until we saw the Schlotzsky's sign from the interstate. We all agreed to go there since we all love to go there in our respective towns. We all get out the car now bear in mind we are professional people of Hotel Mgmt and retired military wives. We walk in Schlotzsky's and it shuts down! The people behind the counter are just staring at us. Noone makes an attempt to greet or even begin to take an order. Just stare. My mom had walked in before us and was in the restroom and we all just stood there. There was noone in line. Just 3 employees staring at us. 3 whole minutes we stood there. Nothing. We go outside. My mother comes out of the bathroom and stands at the counter thinking we had already ordered and went back to the car. And she is also stared at. My husband goes in and tells her that we are going to the Sonic next door, since they appear to not want to serve us. And instead of a reply to his statement.....he just gets more stares. I would understand if we descendants of the hunchback of notre dame. We are all healthy, good-looking black professionals and immediately felt wronged! We sat outside at Sonic and ate lunch and watched approximately 20 people walk in and out of Schlotzsky's with their food and they were all white, and we could not help but be slighted.... Pros: None Cons: Racism is alive and well in this restaurant
