I moved from Albuquerque to Utah in early December, terminating my Comcast account ther. When I got service installed in Utah, the installer said that my modem MAC ID hadn't been released by Albuquerque. Been on the phone back and forth between Internet support, Albuquerque Comcast, and the Local Comcast physical facility. Everyone at first says that the problem is fixed, and then points their finger at Albuquerque when it turns out to be not fixed. Albuquerque internet support sends me to sales who sends me to Utah Comcast who tells me to call Albuquerque again. Why can't a single support person anywhere do something as simple as releasing my modem MAC ID in Albuquerque so that I will not be charged for a modem in Utah? Pros: Support people are at least courteous Cons: No one at Comcast has authority to solve my problem
