The Livonia Center provided a thorough clinical visit with good information. The wait was average. The receptionists were reasonable. I called a few weeks before I was to run out of birth control as they were supposed to mail me my supply automatically. I made sure they had my new address and requested a shipment asap so I wouldn't run out (and stated that I needed the birth control immediately as I was finishing my last pack). Well, I've put in about 5 calls now and still no birth control. They gave me a date that they were going to mail it out and then the next call someone would offer a new date. I finally was told the package shipped out over a week ago...it should have been in my hands within a couple of days. When I called again and questioned them, I discovered they sent the shipment to the old, inactive address. I asked them about the new address they have on file...they confirmed they have it, but only filed it for ""billing purposes"" and proceeded to continue with mailing to the old address (this isn't complicated...I spoke with one of the staff and specifically spelled out it was a NEW address and that I don't live at the old one). The center's response was ""Well, you'll just have to wait. We haven't had it returned."" I reiterated that I was out of birth control and had requested the order weeks prior. They responded that there was nothing further they could do, that I would have to wait. For a Planned Parenthood organization, they've completely blown the whole idea of being prepared. While I can use back up protection, I have to go at least a month without my pills because they still have not yet arrived and I'm well into my new cycle. Had I known it would have been this ridiculous, I would have spent my money on another organization and got my pap and new prescription on the spot. I have been on top of my end of making sure I'm covered. I hope there aren't too many young women out there falling into the cracks like I am. I doubt many women have the time to make numerous phone calls as I have to do. Livonia Planned Parenthood may be facilitating a new baby boom!
