Review content:
This is a Mom & Pop Mexican joint. If you want something fancy go someplace else. What you'll find here is a relaxed atmosphere and pretty comforting food. I've only been once but plan to go back again. I'm from Texas and am on a quest for decent Mexican food in the Boston area. It's not been easy. And yes, I'm really looking for Tex-Mex (even though authentic Mexican is great in it's own right). I've found this place to be on the top of my short list. Hey, it's cheap, the mariachi music is loud (recorded, not live), the chips & salsa are free (a standard in any Mexican restaurant in the border regions, but not so in Boston), and the selection of Mexican beers is great. The crowd on a Friday lunch was diverse (anglos, latinos, business people and families). I recommed trying Mexico Taqueria.
Pros: One of the top Mexican Food places in Boston
Cons: No margaritas
