I went to Dr. Levine based on a recommendation from my oral surgeon and my mother's prosthodontist. I needed a root canal and had let it go until it became infected and very painful. Dr. Levine's office made time to see me for an emergency appointment within 24 hrs, and did the root canal 2 days later.
Based on a previous experience with another doctor I was feeling very anxious when I went in for the procedure. Every person in the office used a tone of real concern and caring, as though we were close friends. I found that very comforting. Dr. Levine and his assistant made the entire experience very comfortable and did not dismiss any discomfort I was feeling, as has happened with previous doctors. At the end of the procedure Dr. Levine carefully detailed my next steps, explaining the what and why, and answered all my questions. When asked for a referral Dr. Levine was very straightforward about his relationship with the doctors he was recommending and their qualifications. In fact was able to walk up a flight of stairs and be seen by one of those doctors immediately following my root canal.
I also feel, based on how easily and quickly he performed my procedure, that Dr. Levine is very skilled at doing root canals. I highly recommend Dr. Levine for his great skill, his genuine concern, and his great chair-side manner.
Pros: Wonderful manner for soothing with anxious patients
